Information: Captain (Acting) Wilfred Henry Beaumont Nesbitt M.C., Grenadier Guards, killed in action at Fontaine, near Cambrai, on Nov. 27, 1917, was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Beaumont Nesbitt, of Tubberdary, Edenderry. He was educated at Ludgrove and the R.N. College of Osborne and Dartmouth, and gazetted a midshipman, but was invalided out of the Navy in 1912. He afterwards went to Trinity College, Cambridge, but left shortly after the war broke out, and joined the Grenadiers early in 1915. He went to the front in France in the summer of that year. He was wounded on September 25th, 1916. at Les Boeufs in the Somme battle, where he won the M.C.
