Information: Captain Noel Galway Holmes, Royal Irish Regiment, who has been mentioned in Sir Douglas Haig's despatches and awarded the Military Cross, is the son of Captain H. W. and Mrs. Holmes, of Rock wood, Galway. His brother, Captain Cecil Crampton Holmes, who was also mentioned in despatches, died of wounds received at Mons in August, 1914.
