Information: Second Lieutenant Nicholas Stephen Hatch, Royal Irish Rifles, was officially reported missing after the advance on July 1st, 1916, and is now presumed to have fallen on that date. He was the youngest son of Mr. Mark Hatch, Duleek, Co. Meath, and on the outbreak of the war joined the Royal Irish Rifles. He subsequently received his commission, and was shortly afterwards sent to the front.
