Information: Lieutenant W. Carlisle Hill, M.C., Royal Irish Rifles, who has been killed in action, was a son of Mr. R.C. Hill, 101 Fitzroy Avenue, Belfast, an official of the Belfast Harbour Board. He was promoted Lieutenant in May, 1916, and was awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry in the handling of trench mortars.
