Information: Second Lieutenant Vincent Connel Byrne, Royal Irish Rifles, was killed in action on July 31st, 1917. He was the son of Mr. George Byrne, J.P., 36 Elgin Road, Dublin, and was educated at Clongowes Wood College and Trinity College. He was a law student when he received his commission in the Royal Irish Rifles in October. 1915. He went to France in April, 1916, and was in command of his Company when he was killed.
