Information: Mr. J. B. Barrington, of Ashroe, Newport, Co. Limerick, son of the late Sir Croker Barrington, Bart., of Glenstal, Co. Limerick, went to France on June 1st, 1915, as a Volunteer Ambulance Driver and was made Section Commander almost at once. He was educated at Charterhouse and Trinity College, Dublin. He was land agent to the Earl of Limerick, Lord Massy, his father, and others, and was a member of the Limerick County Council for twelve years. In October, 1915, he received the Croix de Guerre, Divisional Order carrying the silver star, and on August 7th, 1917, received the Order de l'Armie, carrying the Palm Leaf.
