Information: Major Charles Stuart Lecky, Australian Infantry, has been awarded the D.S.O. for conspicuous gallantry and resource during an attack when in charge of the front line held by his battalion. He handled the situation with great skill and courage, and though wounded, refused to leave the line until the attack had been repulsed. Major Lecky is the grandson of the late Mr. William Crawford Lecky, of Mount Salus, Dalkey.
