Information: Second Lieut. Ralph Shelton MacGeough-Bond, R.F.A., who died on 22nd August of gas and wounds received the same day, aged nineteen, was the only son of Lieut Colonel and Mrs. R. MacGeough-Bond, of Leasbrook, Monmouth, and grandson of the late J. W. MacGeough-Bond, J.P., D.L., Drumsill, Armagh, and of James W. Bond, J.P., D.L., Farragh, Longford. Educated at Cheltenham (Leconfield) and R.M.A., Woolwich, he obtained his commission on 10th May, 1916. After serving for a time at Brighton he joined his unit at the front in September, 1916.
