Information: Second Lieutenant R.G. Beatty, Royal Flying Corps, was killed in action in France on July 28th, 1917, five days after his arrival at the front. He joined the R.F.C. as a cadet on May 1st and got his commission six weeks later. He was the fifth son of the late Mr. Francis Rowland Beatty and Mrs. Beatty, 14 Sydney Avenue, Blackrock. Mrs Beatty has three other sons serving, one of whom came from Australia and was wounded last year.
