Information: Second Lieutenant James W. Dixon, Royal Engineers, was killed in action in France on August 5th, 1917. He was the son of Mr. H.P. Dixon, Meadow Bank Avenue, Londonderry. On the outbreak of the war he enlisted and served in France until he was wounded. On recovery he entered the Royal Engineers as a cadet and subsequently obtained his commission, going to France again about the middle of July last.
