Information: Lieutenant Albert Neville Oakshott, Royal Munster Fusiliers, attached Royal Irish Rifles, who was killed in action on August 17th, 1917, was the only son of Dr. James A. Oakshott, Resident Medical Superintendent of the Waterford Lunatic Asylum. Prior to the war he was a medical student at Trinity College, but was one of the first to respond to the call for men, and in September 1914, joined the Royal Munster Fusiliers, being afterwards attached to the Royal Irish Rifles.
