Information: Second Lieutenant Noel Brendan Gill, Manchester Regiment, was reported missing, believed killed, on 23rd April, 1917, and is now definitely reported killed on that date. He was the sixth son of Mr. Robert P. Gill, Faltheen House, Nenagh, and nephew of Mr. T.P. Gill, Secretary, Department of Agriculture, and was 20 years of age. He was educated in Blackrock College, Dublin, and entered the Royal College of Surgeons in 1915, and immediately joined the Royal College of Surgeons' O.T.C., from which he was gazetted to the North Staffordshire Regiment, and was subsequently transferred to the Manchesters, and went to France in July 1916.
