Information: Second Lieutenant (Temp. Captain) John Hilliard Cairns Lawlor M.C., Royal Munster Fusiliers, the son of Mr. H. C. Lawlor, Killyfaddy, Windsor Avenue, Belfast, has been awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in leading his company to its objective. Throughout the operation he displayed the greatest courage and disregard of danger. His ability and judgment conduced very materially to the success of the operation. He had previously been mentioned in despatches and awarded the parchment certificate of his Division.
