Information: Second Lieut. Thornley Kinsey, Somerset Light Infantry, who was killed in action on August 16th, 1917, was the eldest son of Mr. A.T. Kinsey, 51 Manor Park, Redland, Bristol, Assistant Superintending Engineer to the Post Office for the South Western District of England, formerly attached to the Engineering Department, G.P.O., Dublin, and a resident for many years in Clontarf, where Lieut. Kinsey was born. Lieut. Kinsey was in his 19th year, and was educated at Bristol Grammar School, from which he joined the Officers' Cadet Battalion. He was a nephew of Mr. Percy Whitehead, well known in musical circles in Ireland.
