Information: Captain Joseph Patrick Pegum, R.A.M.C., K.S.L.I., was killed in action in Flanders on September 26th, 1917, in his 24th year. He was the youngest son of the late Mr. James Pegum, Cahara House, Glin, Co. Limerick. He was educated at Mungret College, Limerick, and Clongowes Wood, Co. Kildare, passing from the latter into the Royal College of Surgeons. He qualified in April, 1916, and immediately applied for a commission in the R.A.M.C. He went to France in July, 1916, and was promoted captain in March, 1917.
