Information: Lieutenant F.J. Biggane, Royal Munster Fusiliers, attached Trench Mortar Battery, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Biggane, Shanakiel Road. Cork, is reported missing since the advance on August 16th last. He was educated at Presentation College, Cork, and National University, and obtained his commission in November, 1914. He was the officer who, with Corporal Kemp, brought in the notice boards put up by the Germans after the Dublin Rebellion. Lieutenant Biggane went through much severe fighting and was granted the Parchment Certificate for gallant conduct and devotion to duty in the field on July 28th and 29th.
