Information: Captain E.D. Metcalfe. M.C., Indian Cavalry, who has been mentioned in despatches and awarded the Military Cross, is a son of Mr. Edward Metcalfe. I.S.O., General Prisons' Board, Dublin Castle. Captain Metcalfe is a graduate of Dublin University and was well known in football and sporting circles, being a member of the Wanderers and Dublin University Rugby teams. He joined the Indian Army in 1908, and before the war was A.D.C. to Lord Willingdon, the Governor, and commanded the Bodyguard. He served in France in 1915 and 1916, and since then in Mesopotamia.
