Information: Lieutenant Leonard W. Butler, Royal Irish Fusiliers, who was killed in action at Fontaine on the 20th November, 1917, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Butler, of 40 Fitzwilliam Place, and was educated at Blackrock College and Downside Abbey School. Lieutenant Butler was only in his 20th year, and his colonel states that he was bravery itself and loved by all his officers and men.
