Information: Second Lieutenant Arthur Haviland Allen, Royal Dublin Fusiliers, who was reported missing, believed killed, on October 4th, 1917, was the youngest son of Mr. B.W. Allen, agent, Bank of Ireland, Tipperary, and Mrs. Allen. In the autumn of 1915 he resigned a good appointment in Canada and came home to join. He enlisted in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers, being subsequently transferred to the O.T.C. at Fermoy, from which he obtained his commission and went to France in February last, and fell whilst gallantly leading his men over the parapet.
