Information: Lieutenant Thomas Acheson Armstrong, was the only son of Mr. Robert Armstrong, of Queensland, and grandson of the late Mr. Thomas Armstrong, of Briskey House, Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford, and grandnephew of the late Rev. Dr. Madill, of Garvagh Manse. He was educated at Townsville Grammar School, Queensland, and entered the Medical School of Sydney University, where he spent three years. He got his commission from the O.T.C. of the University, and proceeded to the front, where he was wounded in June, 1917. On recovery he rejoined his battalion on active service and was killed in action on October 12th, in his 26th year.
