Information: Second Lieutenant B. A. Bingham, Lancashire Fusiliers, who is reported killed in action, was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bingham, of Binghamstown House, Belmullet, Co. Mayo, and was a nephew of Rear-Admiral Yelverton, C.B., Chief Naval Officer, Folkestone. He had nearly completed his theological course at the London University and passed his examinations with distinction, when he volunteered in August, 1914. He was in his 27th year when he was killed in an advanced trench, on May 1917.
