Information: Captain Alfred Squire Taylor, R.A.M.C., who was killed in action in France on July 31 1917, was the youngest son of the Rev. D.A Taylor. D.D., Mingula, Windsor Park. Belfast, and grandson of the late Sir David Taylor. He was educated at Campbell College and Queen's College, Belfast, and Edinburgh University, where he graduated M.B., in 1914, and occupied the distinguished position of President of the University Union, captain Taylor was one of the most brilliant Irish athletes, and was well known both the football and cricket field.
