Information: Colonel Eoghan O'Brien, A.M.I.C.E., A.M.I.E.E., of Mount Eagle, Killiney, has recently been awarded the Distinguished Service Order. Colonel O'Brien joined the Royal Engineers in October, 1914, and has served in France, Palestine and Italy, and has been twice mentioned in Sir Douglas Haig's despatches. Before the war he was Assistant Chief Mechanical Engineer of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. He was educated at Eton and Leeds University.
