Information: Second Lieutenant R.N. Kennedy, Royal Irish Rifles, Avonmore Lodge, Balmoral, who has been awarded the M.C., is the elder son of Mr. R. N. Kennedy, Ocean Buildings, Belfast. He enlisted in the Young Citizen Volunteers in September, 1914, when not quite 17, and was eventually promoted to a commission and posted to a battalion of the Rifles.
