Information: Surgeon Probationer James J. Nolan, R.N.V.R. H.M.S. Candytuft, who was killed in action in the Mediterranean on November the 18th 1917, in his 21st year, was the youngest surviving son of the late Dr. J.J. Nolan of Tullow Co. Carlow, and Mrs. Nolan, Leigh House, Three Castles, Co. Kilkenny. He was educated at Clongowes Wood College and Dublin University, and was a very promising student.
