Information: Captain George Chaigneau Colvill, Irish Horse, killed on November 30th, was the second son of Mr. Robert F.S. Colville of Coolock House, Co. Dublin, Governor of the Bank of Ireland. He was born in 1894 and educated Mr. F.M. Buckland's Preparatory School at Laleham, and subsequently at Winchester and New College Oxford. He left Oxford on the outbreak of war joined the Irish Horse, and had been serving at the front since December 1915 being promoted captain in October 1916. His three brothers are serving, one in the Royal Navy and two in the army. One having been wounded is at present in hospital in London.
