Information: Major I Williamson M.C., Royal Field Artillery, who has recently been awarded the Military Cross, is the son of Mr. F. Williamson, Ashford Lodge, Cootehill, Co, Cavan. Major Williamson served in India for nine years, went to France at the beginning of the war, and received his promotion on the field. He was twice wounded and gassed. One of his brothers is serving in the Navy, and another was killed in France in 1916.
