Information: Captain S. O'Donel, A.V.C., who has been awarded the Military Cross, is the second son of the late Mr. Francis O'Donel, of Castlebar, and of Mrs. O'Donel, 63 Albert Road, Kingstown. Educated at Portora Royal School, he joined the Army in July, 1914, and has been serving since September, 1914, in France, the Dardanelles and Egypt. He was mentioned in despatches in January, 1917.
