Information: Lieutenant Colonel Herbert Richard Hall Ireland M.C. Leinster Regiment, commanding a battaIion of the Royal Munster Fusiliers, died on March 28th from wounds received in action on the 21st. He entered the army in 1900, serving in the West Indian Regiment until 1912, when he retired. In December, 1914, he was attached to the Leinster Regiment, and was wounded in March, 1915, and again in July, 1917, He received the Military Cross in January 1916, for conspicuous gallantry under heavy shell fire during an attack. He prepared the point of entry into the enemy's trenches and organised the attacking parties with great coolness and resource.
