Information: Lieutenant Edward Alexander Morris Stoker, M.C., Royal Irish Regiment, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Stoker, Clifton Grange, Douglas Co. Cork. Prior to the war he was an electrical engineer, but at once joined the army, and was gazetted to the Royal Irish Regiment, with which he served at Guillemont, and received the Military Cross on September the 3rd 1916, for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He was wounded about a week later during the fighting at Ginchy, and died from the effects of his wounds.
