Information: Second Lieutenant Alan Wallace Meyer, Royal Garrison Artillery, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Meyer, 6 Fairfield Park, Highfield Road, Rathgar. He was educated at Wesley College, Dublin, and joined the Inns of Court O.T.C. in October, 1915. After serving in the R.G.A. as a gunner he was gazetted in October 1917, and went to France on November 1st. He was shortly afterwards sent with his Battery to Italy, where he was accidentally killed through shell explosion on March 11th, 1918, in his 19th Year.
