Information: Lieutenant (Acting Captain) P.L. Cahill, Royal Munster Fusiliers, was killed in action on March 30th, 1918. He was the second surviving son of the late Colonel Cahill and Mrs. Cahill, Ballyconra House, Ballyraggett, Co, Kilkenny, and was in his 24th year. He was in Canada when the war broke out, and at once joined a Canadian cavalry regiment, subsequently getting his commission in the Royal Munster Fusiliers, and had served in France and Belgium since 1915, taking part in many important engagements. Lieutenant Cahill was a fine sportsman and athlete. His eldest brother, Captain J.N. Cahill, Leugh House, Three Castles, Kilkenny, was killed in France in August, 1917.
