Information: Second Lieutenant Thomas Coote Cummins, York and Lancaster Regiment, was killed in action on March 25th. 1918, in his 19th year. He was the son of Mr. W. M. Cummins, L.R.C.S.P.I. of Renishay. Chesterfield, was educated at Chesterfield Grammar School and King Edward VII School, Sheffield, and was about to enter the University of Sheffield when called to military duties. He was killed in a gallant effort, for which he volunteered, to silence enemy machine gun.
