Information: Captain W.A. Beattie M.C. Royal Irish Fusiliers, has been awarded the Military Cross for gallantry during the successful operations north of Jerusalem, in which he was wounded. He served through the Gallipoli campaign, being wounded at Suvla Bay, and also served in Macedonia. He is the son of Mr. J. Beattie, Kilmainham, Dublin.
