Information: Major Ion Barry George, Royal Irish Regiment, died in hospital in London on May 6 1918, in his 36th year. Major George was wounded and taken prisoner at Mons in August, 1914. and remained three years a prisoner at Creffield Camp in Germany. He was repatriated some time ago. but his health had been irretrievably shattered. Major George was a brilliant horseman and a well known rider at many point-to-point meetings in Ireland, when he on several occasions carried off the honours on his horse “Bective.*' He was a nephew of Mr. John Foot George, 7 Wilton Place, Dublin.
