Information: Second Lieut. W.L. Harcourt, Royal Irish Rifles, younger son of Mr. S.J. Cheswick, Cavehill Road, Belfast, and Messrs Workman, Clark & Co., Ltd., was awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in the field. He joined the North Irish Horse at the outbreak of war and served two years with that unit, obtaining a commission in the infantry on 29th August, 1917.
