Information: Captain Arthur D. Clanchy, Royal Army Medical Corps, who died recently, was the eldest son of Arthur French Clanchy, 7 Waterloo Road, Dublin, who is a grandson of the late Daniel Clanchy, J.P., D.L., of Charleville, Co. Cork. Captain Clanchy was educated at Prior Park and Castleknock Colleges. Early in 1915, he obtained a commission in the Royal Army Medical Corps, and was sent to France. Whilst there he contracted rheumatic fever, and was invalided home. When convalescent he resumed duty and was stationed at King George V. and Curragh Hospitals. The effects of his illness, however, never completely left him, and he finally developed lung trouble, and died on May 10th, 1918.
