Information: Captain (Acting Major) W. F. Jeffries D.S.O., Royal Dublin Fusiliers, who has recently been mentioned in despatches and awarded the Distinguished Service Order for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the German offensive in March, 1918, is the only son of the late Mr. William Carey Jeffries, M.D., of Coolcarron, Co. Cork, and of Mrs. Carey Jeffries, late of Ballinamultina House, Co. Waterford. He was educated at Downside and Trinity College, Cambridge, and is the author of “Two Undergraduates in the East.” He has seen much active service, and was twice wounded.
