Information: Lieutenant John Norman Mee, Canadian Infantry, who was killed in France on June 24th, 1918, was the second son of Mr. William H. Mee, Brooklyn Villa, Buncrana, Co. Donegal, to fall in action. Lieutenant Mee was educated at Foyle College, Londonderry, and afterwards went to Canada, where he joined up on the outbreak of war, and went to France with his regiment, being given his commission in the field for gallantry during the second battle of Ypres. He served through many severe engagements, and was killed when returning with prisoners and guns after a gallant and successful bombing attack on the German trenches.
