Information: Lieutenant Colonel Gerald Stoney D.S.O. M.C., Worcestershire Regiment, has been fourteen years in the army and saw a good deal of service in India. He has been on the Western front since the outbreak of the present war, and served through the Mons retreat and all the subsequent engagements. He was awarded the D.S.O. for gallantry during the heavy fighting early in April last, when his regiment was cut off and surrounded for 48 hours. Colonel Stoney is a brother of Major J.P.L. Stoney, Ewell Castle, Cloughjordan.
