Information: Lieutenant Joseph Charles Tyndall, 4th Dublin Fusiliers. In his 22nd year, and after a brief fortnight in the trenches, Lieutenant J. Charles Tyndall was killed in action on March 2nd. Second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Tyndall, Monkstown, Lieut. Tyndall followed his elder brother, Lieut. W. E. Tyndall, to the front. He belonged to the 4th Dublin Fusiliers, but was transferred to the Royal Irish Rifles in February, and it was with them, in the early morning of March 2nd that Lieutenant Tyndall gloriously met his end. A soldier to his finger tips, Lieutenant Tyndall gave promise of a brilliant career.
