Information: Captain Dudley Eyre Persse, 4th Battalion Dublin Fusiliers, who died from wounds received in active service in France in February last, was the son of Mr. Alfred Lovain Persse and Mrs. Persse, late of Rose Park, County Galway, and grandson of the late Mr. Dudley Persse, of Roxborough, County Galway. He was gazetted Second Lieutenant in April, 1911, was promoted Lieutenant in 1912 and Captain in February, 1915. His father has received a telegram from their Majesties expressing their regret and sympathy in the loss he has sustained on the death of his son.
