Information: Major Reginald Edwin Bond, 4th Prince Albert Victor's Rajputs. Major Bond’s biography is missing from the original ‘Our Heroes’ publication. The following is taken from ‘ThePeerage.com’: Major Reginald Edwin Bond was born on 28 October 1870 at Meerut, Bengal, India, the son of Charles Frederick Bond and Mary Alice Blanche White. He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England, and was commissioned in 1892 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, in the Yorkshire Regiment. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1896 in the Indian Army. He married Kathleen Emberson Gallaher, daughter of Thomas Gallaher and Robina Mitchell Bell, on 9 December 1909 at Parish Church, Titchfield, Hampshire, England, and gained the rank of Major in January 1910. He was killed in action on the 3rd of March 1915 at age 44 at Ahwazin in Mesopotamia.
