Information: Captain Samuel George Roe, 2nd Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, killed in action on October 21st, was the elder son of Lieut. Col. Roe, of Sion House, Glenageary, Co. Dublin. He joined the service in January, 1899, was gazetted Lieutenant in April, 1900 and obtained his Captaincy in July, 1904.
