Information: Lieutenant Donald Allister Greer, Connaught Rangers, who died from enteric at Amara, Mesopotamia, was son of the late Mr. Henry F. Greer, Glenbarr, Palmerston Road, and Bernagh House, Dungannon, and the only son of Mrs. H.F. Greer, 35 Upper Leeson Street. He was educated at Castle Park, Dalkey; Tonbridge School, Kent, and Trinity College. In December, 1914, he was gazetted to the Connaught Rangers from Sandhurst, and was shortly promoted Lieutenant and Adjutant. He went to France in May, 1915, and in the following December went as Adjutant with his battalion to Mesopotamia.
