Information: Lieut. R.E. Bowen M.C., Connaught Rangers, son of the late Dr. Bowen, of Brussels, and Mrs. Browne, of Aston-on-Clun, Shropshire. He was educated at Blackrock College, and prior to the war was an official in the Hibernian Insurance Co. He enlisted in the Cadet Corps of the 7th Leinsters in November, 1914, was gazetted to the 6th Connaught Rangers in December, 1914, and went to France in December, 1915. He has been wounded twice at Loos and Guillemont. Lieutenant Bowen has also been awarded the parchment certificate of the 16th Division.
