Information: Lieutenant A.G.F. Simms, Connaught Rangers, is reported missing, believed drowned in the Mediterranean on December 30th, 1917, He was educated at St, Columba's College and Trinity College, Dublin, Shortly after the outbreak of war he volunteered, and was gazetted to the Connaught Rangers, He served two years in France, and was awarded the parchment certificate of his division for gallantry. He was the only son of Mr. Alfred Simms, Solicitor, Alma Road, Monkstown, and prior to joining the colours practised as a solicitor.
