Information: Capt. Fenton King Cummins, Connaught Rangers, who was killed in action in France on March 21st, aged 20 years, was the youngest son of Professor and Mrs. Ashley Cummins, of 17 St. Patrick's Place, Cork, and was educated at Cheltenham College. He entered Sandhurst in 1915, and was gazetted to the Connaught Rangers in August. 1915. He was mentioned in despatches. He was awarded two Parchment Certificates by his General for “gallant conduct and devotion to duty in the field” on February 19th, 1917. and March 8th, 1917. He was promoted Captain in March, 1918, and was killed while leading his company.
