Information: Lieutenant (Acting Captain) Arthur Henry Eric Russell, Connaught Rangers, died at a casualty clearing station in France from wounds received in action on March 21st, 1918. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Russell, Ballinaclone House, Moate, Co. Westmeath, and was educated at Sligo Grammar School. He joined the Royal Field Artillery in September, 1914, and received his commission on his 17th birthday. He had served through many engagements in France and Flanders, and was awarded the certificate of his division for gallantry in action.
